“Our goal is to reach more amputees with our programs and services,” said Kendra Calhoun, president & CEO of the Amputee Coalition. “By bringing one-day programs to various regions, we hope to reach more amputees faster and bring meaningful educational programming to them in their communities.”

In addition to several first-rate educational presentations by spectacular speakers, LLED – New York will also offer the Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation’s (OPAF’s) First Dance. OPAF’s First Dance gives participants a fun activity, with a partner for balance, and gets them moving, dancing and socializing. First Dance provides a great setting to meet others.

“OPAF is pleased to partner with the Amputee Coalition to bring a variety of our First Clinics to the amputee population across the country,” said Robin Burton, OPAF’s executive director. “We want to include everyone in the First Clinic experience, as either an active participant or as a cheerleader!”
