2012 Helping Hands' Winter Outing - Success!

The HHF Winter Outing was held on January 27-29, 2012 in Massachusetts and was a huge success - full of fun, friendships and families. We had close to 70 families attend the outing this year. HHF Member battles for right to become a nurse

Born with one hand, Danielle's dream of becoming a nurse was challenged by the Dean of Nursing at college.  She would not let them stop her but rather became inspired to prove them wrong.  Watch how Danielle finds ways to succeed in nursing school, graduate and land a job as a pediatric nurse!  Go girl!!

ACA Youth Camp - July 21-25, 2012 - FREE Apply by March 12th

HHF Member, Noah Thompson (age 15), and his family donated a sizeable check to our organization as part of a family tradition.  A few years ago, the Thompsons and their extended family decided that instead of buying gifts for each other, they would each place the name of a charity in a hat and draw one name to receive a holiday donation.

One-handed saxophone gives new hope

Daniel Stover, an accomplished musician, thought he lost his ability to play music after he suffered a stroke in 2008.

But his dream to play the saxophone again came true Tuesday when instrument technician Jeff Stelling handed Stover of Houston a new one-handed saxophone.
